About This Blog

Localism.blog is a travel blog that documents the honest voices of locals encountered across Japan. Rather than the polished surface of tourism, we capture what people genuinely feel, what they hold dear, and what they want travelers to know — through in-depth interviews from every corner of the country.

We also aim to create content that lets students at the Chat Community language school experience real Japanese language and culture as it is actually spoken and lived.

Stories Beyond the Page

The journey doesn't stop here. We share behind-the-scenes moments, local encounters, and snapshots from the road on Instagram — raw, unfiltered, and always local.
